Missions
- "Go and make disciples of all nations."
We bring God glory by telling others about Him.
Stampin' for Jesus - Over 70 cards were created by members
of Cherry Grove Church then donated to women incarcerated
at Hamilton County Justice Center. The variety of
greeting cards gives them a way to commemorate birthdays
and other celebrations of their loved ones.
The fifth area of purpose
that we hold true is Missions.
Cherry
Grove UMC is highly mission oriented. A focus on helping
those in need exists throughout the year. These are just
a few of the mission opportunities that make us who
we are:
4th Sunday Mission Offering—used to help world, national,
and
local missions
Fall School Supplies Collection—for school children
with needs right in our own neighborhoods
Mitten Tree—mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves for
children at Wesley Childcare Center
Blanket Sunday—UMCOR (United Methodist Committee
on Relief) program; blankets for people around the world
through our $5 donation
Festival of Sharing—preparing sewing kits
and health kits for a United Methodist Church mission project
Nast Trinity Church Dinner—providing and serving
dinner for approximately 400 residents in the Over-the-Rhine
community
Interfaith Hospitality Network.—Founded in New Jersey
in 1986, IHN provides shelter, meals, and support to families
temporarily without homes.

Christmas Needs Tree—providing Christmas
gifts and food for several local families
There is so much more! At Cherry
Grove United Methodist, serving others is part of our DNA,
who we are as a church community. Come and check us out
and find out how you can become involved in spreading Christ's
love to the world!
