Confirmation
What is confirmation? It is a special time and place for a young person (7th grade and older) to think and learn about God among friends. It is also where we talk about the work of the Church, and especially your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The final act is confirmation into
the Cherry Grove United Methodist Church as a member.  Here is an example of a confirmation class's activities which typically begin in January and end with the confirmation on Palm Sunday:

Confirmation Objectives
Cover 13 sessions from the "We Believe" study book
Regular Attendance in Sunday School, Worship and Youth Group
Memorize Various Scriptures, Books of the Bible and Statements of Faith
Volunteer 5 hours to the church or other organization
    Participate in Ministry Trip
Conduct interviews with 3 adult Christians
Help lead the Worship Service on Confirmation Sunday

If any adult or youth has a question about becoming a member of Cherry Grove Church, please give me a call (474-1428), email cgumc.pastor@fuse.net  or talk to me at church.

In Christian Love,
Pastor Kurt
